We at Hawaii Paipo Designs are dedicated to all wave-riding people. We are in the pursuit of excellence with regards to the development of our Paipo boards. When it comes to surf, real surf, you have to think of Hawaii.
We have been developing this particular design since 1965, while
living and surfing here in Hawaii. We know about surf; big surf,
small surf, we live it. For those who don't know, Paipo boards are
like thin, lightweight, fiberglass boogie-boards. Except they are
extremely durable, much faster and can handle the toughest of waves.
Paipo boards have traditionally been home-made, from materials such
as plywood. We have developed a method of producing a fiberglass
version of the traditional board, still maintaining its status and
reputation, while improving the handling and durability....
Paipo
boards are the fastest, lightest, and strongest wave-riding boards
to date. Paipo boards are suitable to all waves and wave-riding people.
Submergible, but buoyant, they can handle any size surf, large or
small. It is the best freestyle body board. The planing surfaces
of these boards have been perfected over the years. We ride them
at Sunset beach ("Big Sunset"). We ride them outside the
reef at Banzai Pipeline, Waimea Bay and little tiny waves at Waikiki
too.
Their performance is incredible, unlike any other board in the water, especially Boogie Boards. We're talking speed and handling here. The basic shape is preserved, while we can make the boards out of a number of materials. The basic board is made of fiberglass, with a foam core and polyester resin, but sometimes are made of carbon fiber and epoxies, which tend to be more expensive but incredibly hip. Buoyancy is a major factor. This board is buoyant enough to give you a rest, and not too buoyant, to let you dive without any problems. Very useful in any kind of surf, especially big surf, or while surfing in heavy traffic.
Our
dynamic planing surface makes it very easy to take off on any kind
of wave, small or very large. You can catch waves that tankers can't
catch. This is the board for all Radical Maneuvers and Extreme Tricks.
Speed is what this board is all about. As far as I know, it's the
fastest thing in the water, nothing comes close, especially boogie
boards. We use the latest materials and construction methods and
have produced a board of superior durability. Strong and light, that's
the game. You will probably only need one board for your whole life,
unless you lose it. We have recently developed a board for larger
people, incredibly strong and fast.
